Meet Your Therapist

Ali Muhammad

Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

Hello, my name is Ali and I am so glad you are here.

Before becoming a therapist, I have been a zipline park guide, a personal trainer, an accountant and a distress line responder. Though my path to becoming a therapist was far from conventional, I like to think that each of these roles have taught me the value of connection, reminding me that whether we are facing a health challenge, a financial burden, an emotional crisis, or even a fear of heights, we are never meant to navigate the hard parts of life alone.

First and foremost, I believe that feeling connected to your therapist is one of the most important parts of therapy. In our sessions you will feel empowered, seen, and understood. Every emotion, especially the tough ones, deserves room to be felt and processed. Rather than avoiding them, we’ll work through these feelings together and create space for growth and healing.

As a therapist, I have experience working with children, youth, and adults navigating challenges related to Borderline Personality Disorder, addictions and behaviour change, trauma, and grief. Together, we’ll make sense of difficult emotions, explore what truly matters to you, and help you move toward becoming the best version of yourself.

I take a holistic approach to therapy, because I believe there's no single path that works for everyone. I'm passionate about getting to know you as a whole person: your story, your strengths, and what you're working toward. This way, we can figure out together what actually works for you. Every aspect of your life matters, and every approach we take will be tailored specifically to who you are and what you need.
